Executive Branch Of US Government

The president is the chief executive of the US government. He elected along with the vice president and serves a four year term. Presidential elections are held in early November and the successful candidate is sworn in the month of January of the following year. Till then, the incoming president is called the ‘President Elect’. A president may be elected to only two terms. The US president is the Head of the State, Chief of the Executive Government, and Commander in Chief of the Armed forces. The president’s powers are formidable but not unlimited.
